I recently had the opportunity (thanks to my generous parents) to hop on a jet plane and visit some family.
I have mentioned them before. They adopted a baby girl two years ago in my hometown and I have been fortunate enough to keep up with them through blogging and visiting each year.
TWO years!! I cannot believe that that long has passed.
Since I have left a week ago, I keep thinking about them and every thing we did (more posts to come).

First of all, I miss this little feisty princess. Goodness, is she ever delicious and sweet. She is a budding fashionista who definitely has her mind made up about things.

I miss watching her eat salsa (she calls it "spicy") like it's gazpacho...

And I miss her cute feet propped up on the table while she ate her mid-afternoon snack and watched "Chicken Run" (She calls it "Tickin, Tickin") for the 58th time that day...

I miss her chant "Tubby! Tubby! Tubby!" when her mother or father says it's time to take a bath.

I miss those chubby little hands that got into my suitcase on occasion and that made and re-made stacks of books next to my suitcase.

I also miss her momma, Caroline - LOTS. Boy, is life a barrel of laughs when we get together!

I also miss watching Caroline in action. She is the best mother...

... I was so impressed and inspired with both Caroline and Randy and their patience and their wonderful parenting. Lainey Booth is one lucky little girl!

Speaking of Randy, there he is! I miss you too Randy! Thanks for letting me veg in bed with Caroline while we analyzed, scrutinized and picked every episode of "Sister Wives" apart till 1:00am. You're the best!

I miss Emilee and her momma, Kris. They added to our fun with their banter and sense of humor.

I miss hangin' with all of these girls! Slumber party, caramel apples, scary movies, breakfast at Ruth's and Farmer's market - WOW! If only we could do that everyday. What's not to love?
I also miss my Aunt Trudy and Uncle Bruce. Sorry I do not have picture, but I spent time with them too. They are wonderful folks and I love and miss them.
My visit was fun and memorable. And I'm hoping we can see each other sooner rather than later.
How about Spring Break, Randy? What do you say??

YOU MAKE MY CRY!!!!! Oh my dear, we miss you so very much and loved having you in our home. I miss eating, and talking, and eating, and talking about eating. You were so great with Laney and she LOVED having you here. She cried when you left. We can't wait to have you back.
